ELI WRITING CONTEST

The Entertainment Law Initiative (ELI) Writing Contest challenges law students to identify and research a pressing legal issue currently affecting the music industry and outline a proposed solution in a 3,000-word essay. Once the submission deadline has been met, a nationwide panel of music law experts judge the papers in a blind process to select one winner and two runners-up.

If you're eligible, we encourage you to apply and also help spread the word to eligible applicants. Please use the graphics to post on social media — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or X/Twitter. Don't forget to tag and follow the Recording Academy — use the hashtag #RAELI in your posts.

SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS

These images can be layered on top of your own photos as a frame, or posted as standalone graphics. They are provided in sizes specific to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

INSTRUCTIONS

Step One – Download the overlays so you can layer them on a photo of yourself.

Step Two - Select the press or profile image that you want to use in the post.

Step Three – Select the overlay that corresponds with the social platform and post type you wish to share.

Step Four – Utilize a photo editing application of your choice (Photoshop, Canva, Powerpoint, etc.) to layer your photo below the overlay provided so that it is visible in the space that was left transparent. Make sure your image is sized to fill the entire transparent area. When ready, save the image as a new file.

Step Five – Share the image to your social media account, using the suggested copy provided below.
